Tristan Harris har en bra poäng i att tekniken inte behöver bli starkare än människornas styrkor, den behöver bara kunna utnyttja våra svagheter:
When are they taking our jobs because they can do everything that we can do better than us? There’s a much earlier point, imagine there’s that timeline, here’s the graph of technological progress going up, up, up, and there’s an earlier point, before it crosses human strengths, all it has to do is cross human weaknesses, and from that ... It’s like a magician. If you’re a PhD, as a magician, I don’t care. I don’t need to know that. I just need to know your weaknesses, not your strengths. […] When technology exploits our weaknesses, it gains control.
